Jane Tiller (Chair) |

Jane has been a teacher in Bradford for 38 years. She was appointed Assistant Headteacher at Queensbury School in 1997. Appointed Deputy Head then Headteacher at Feversham College in 2000 as the College entered the state system. Under Jane’s leadership, Feversham College soon established itself as an excellent provider for its students and was top of the performance tables for “added value”. In 2005 Jane joined Immanuel College when the school was in Special Measures, by 2012 the College had achieved a Good judgement and remained Good. Since then she has worked as Interim Executive Headteacher brokered by the Local Authority in the following schools that faced challenging circumstances.
Jane is a National Leader of Education, Executive Headteacher at Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College, Headteacher at Immanuel College and Governor at Lightcliffe Academy in Special measures (at the request of the Diocese). |
Rehana Shafquat (Principal) |
Rehana is an experienced educational leader with over 20 years’ working in Bradford Education, in school leader positions since 2001, culminating in Head of School positions at Feversham College and Queensbury School. Rehana is dedicated to using her skills to create a highly aspirational and nurturing environment for all at her school. Her degree in Chemistry and science background provide the perfect platform to drive the academy’s STEM specialism. |
Sofia Beevers (Governor) |
Sofia has 10 years of experience within the HR sector, gaining this experience across the Education and Private sectors, where her work led to a national retailer being named one of the best places to work in the UK. Sofia was previously the Head of HR at a Multi Academy Trust with 30 primary schools and has professional specialist qualifications in HR up to degree level. Sofia fills her spare time as a School Governor and is completing an MA in Human Resource Management. Sofia has committed her time to improving children’s school experience and education ensuring a better future. |
Nasir Mahmood (Governor) |
Nasir has a BSc degree in business quantitative methods, primarily looking at statistical perspective on business decisions. He also has professional qualifications in Prince 2 Certified (Practioner level), Lean Six Sigma - Green belt in process improvement framework, Certified Product Owner - development of digital products. Nasir has over 20 years’ experience of working in both private and public sectors working in business planning, programme and Digital Product development. He has experience of managing teams ranging from 5 to 50 members on large scale transformation programmes, having been the BI Manager at Morrison's Supermarkets as part of their £300m transformation programme and most recently as the Lead Product Owner in NHS Digital on a £43m digital transformation programme. |
Imran Abbas (Governor) |
Imran has a wide breadth of experience in IT spanning 20 years. For the last 7 years he has worked as an IT Director managing programs, service delivery and security in a large global financial organisation. He has extensive experience in financial IT, people management, driving transformation and change as well as driving efficiency and cost cutting. He is well versed in defining processes and re-engineering existing processes to cut out waste and control variation. Imran has experience in vendor and contract management with a good understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks within a financial context. He is open, honest and easy going with the ability to communicate with people at all levels especially when it comes to managing stakeholders. |
