About Our School

Our History

Bronte Girls’ Academy is the first Free School for Feversham Education Trust (FET) – an outstanding Multi Academy Trust (MAT) - due to open in September 2019.

The Academy is located in BD4 on the old Future House grounds.  Work is currently underway to prepare a state-of-the-art building with cutting edge facilities based on the most current research on how students learn best.  It is a very exciting time for the Trust as we can now see all our hard work from the vision of the initial Free School bid to the reality of creating the actual finished product coming to fruition.  The Academy will admit 120 pupils into Year 7 in September 2019 and grow to 600 pupils at full capacity.

FET is a dynamic MAT that grew from humble beginnings in 1984 and is led by a Chief Executive who has a strong track record in building outstanding teams, that deliver outstanding schools – the last three schools he has led have all been graded outstanding by Ofsted.
