Careers Strategy

Bronte Girls’ Academy is committed to ensuring that all our students have access to impartial careers advice and guidance.

The Gatsby Benchmarks as listed below are embedded throughout the school's careers provision.

  1. A stable careers programme.
  2. Learning from career and labour market information.
  3. Addressing the needs of each pupil.
  4. Linking curriculum learning to careers.
  5. Encounters with employers and employees.
  6. Experiences of workplaces.
  7. Encounters with further and higher education.
  8. Personal guidance.

Students will attend a programme of careers lessons, drop down days, and attend assemblies that are delivered by employers and external education providers such as Colleges and universities. In addition, all students have access to the school's careers library and 1:1 careers advice and guidance.

Throughout the careers programme student data will be used to target cohorts of students in order to ensure that they participate in activities specific to their needs and interests. Students will engage with a variety of external providers and employers including the school’s Enterprise Advisor.
