Our History curriculum will provide students with a coherent understanding of the story of Britain and the wider world.

Students will learn about the most important events and people who have helped to shape Britain and the world over the last one thousand years. Through this study they will gain a chronological framework of the past.

Students will gain a secure knowledge of our shared past through the medium of enquiry which will allow them to make links across themes and time periods. Through these enquiries, students will develop the disciplinary skills of a historian and will be able to understand their heritage and develop a love for the past.

By engaging deeply with the past, students will gain a better understanding of the world around them.

Studying History at Bronte will allow students to draw their own moral conclusions which will prepare them for entering the adult world and the responsibilities that they will face as well rounded citizens.
